Ding.. Dong...Second round for the Belgian Decock-Capino team in N-Ireland.The Tour of the North 2009 is in the starting blocks,full field of hundred cycling stars,more continental teams(more later)and a enourmes effort of the organising team from the Northern Ireland Cycling Federation ,have giving this years tour a higher profile!!P&O Irish Sea ferries have again give free transport from Schotland to our Shores,and aswell arranged tranport from the continent to England for the visiting teams(P&O North Sea ferries)
A hard working David Ross(left on the picture) Race Secretary ,and "devil do it all" Anthony Mitchell(right of the picture)Race director, have been putting all stops out to give this top event a high profile!! We have to congratulate the whole team for this .Decock-Capino Cycling Team of the Flanders will be competing again,with the intention of winning this year,been second last year.They have signed Geoffrey Demeyere(ex pro with vast of experience,11 pro wins, and Gent -Wevelgem winner as a U/23) who has chosen te N-Ireland tour above the classic "2 daagse van de Gaverstreek" at the same weekend(Easter).He be joined by Peter Hawkins,Criterium Champignon 2008 Ireland(new team member)Belfast, and 4 more classbacks from the flanders!!In the picture also Philip Bremner(Scott Ballymena Road Club) a guest rider for the Lotto Bodysol Menen this summer and Ulster Junior champion and the man to beat Ryan Connor ,Usher Road Club Ireland(3 times winner of the event)and ex pro with Pezula.That the best man wins!!!!
